Crane Service & Installation Engineer

Full Time- Permanent

Reporting to the Service and Installation Manager the role within the Engineering division will include carrying out responses to customer breakdowns, trouble shooting, crane repairs and assisting with the installing and commissioning of new crane equipment. The role also includes carrying out both LEEA and Insurance inspections. Other duties within the role include rope and bearing changes through to replacing contactors or load cells.

Essential Criteria

  1. Time-served apprenticeship
  2. Experience with heavy duty industrial plant and machinery
  3. Experience with slinging and banksman
  4. Qualified to work with large plant and machinery
  5. Full clean driving licence

Skills required

  • Time-served apprenticeship
  • This role would suit a multi-skilled engineer from a maintenance- manufacturing environment with either an electrical or and mechanical bias.
  • Experience with heavy duty industrial plant and machinery
  • Qualified to work with large plant and machinery
  • Experience with slinging and banksman
  • Full clean driving licence
  • The ability to work at heights
  • Strict adherence to H&S requirements
  • MEWPS licence is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
  • Willingness to travel throughout Ireland
  • Overtime will be a requirement of the role due to the nature of our business
  • Requirement to work as part of a call-out rota

  • Salary DOE has the potential with overtime to exceed £50k

  • 37 hour week – Monday – Thursday 8.00-4.30 and Friday 8.00 – 1.00
  • Overtime after 4.30 daily and Saturday paid at 1.5x basic, Sunday and bank holidays x2 basic (also DIL for bank holiday worked)
